You’ll lead a small group of kids as they move through each part of the morning—building relationships, asking great questions, and encouraging them along the way. Expect lots of laughter, meaningful moments, and the chance to make every child feel seen, valued, and excited to be there. Elementary Crew Leader Assistant: The Elementary Crew Leader Assistant helps make the crew experience fun, smooth, and full of energy! You’ll partner with your crew leader to guide kids from station to station, jump in with activities, and keep things organized behind the scenes. Expect lots of movement, laughter, and opportunities to connect with your group throughout the morning. A great assistant is attentive, flexible, and always ready to lend a hand—often stepping in with just the right help at just the right time. Set Up/Clean Up Team: As a member of the Set Up/Clean Up Team, you are essential to transforming the church building into an immersive VBS environment. On the Sunday before the event, you will help with the heavy lifting and creative assembly of the main stage, lobby, ramps, and individual rotation areas. On the Sunday following VBS, you’ll assist in the efficient breakdown and organization of all materials to return the facility to its original state. This role requires an active spirit and a commitment to serve from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM on both Sundays (June 21 and June 28, 2026). Your hard work behind the scenes ensures that every student and volunteer walks into a space that is safe, exciting, and ready for ministry. Snack Leader Assistant: The Snack Leader Assistant helps serve up one of every kid’s favorite part of the day—snack time! You’ll jump in to prep and pass out tasty treats, keep things moving, and create a fun, relaxed moment for kids to connect with their crew. Expect lots of smiles, easy conversations, and a chance to bring a little extra joy (and maybe a few extra napkins!). Volunteer Breakfast Team: As a member of this vital team, you provide the morning fuel for our entire volunteer staff and their children, ensuring they are energized and ready to serve. You will be responsible for setting up, serving, and cleaning up a nutritious breakfast each morning from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. By providing a warm meal and a welcoming atmosphere, you directly support the leaders who are working with the kids all day. This role is essential for boosting team morale and ensuring our staff feel valued and cared for throughout the week.
